Account Manager, Research

We're looking for someone to join our diverse team in Montreal to assist in the development and execution of market and political research studies, online experiments and other research projects.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced accounts manager who has three or more years of direct experience developing strategy for market research or related, who has excellent writing and presentation skills, and is comfortable with quantitative methods and statistics. The right fit is someone who is a highly motivated and organized communicator willing to take on a supervisory role at a fast-growing company. This person will closely contribute to the growth of the research department and be in direct contact with our diverse and international clientele. Job Duties: Lead client account(s) within the Insights Department

This implies: 

• Understanding client’s needs and business objectives, and establishing research goals and strategies to meet these goals
• Provide leadership and direction to the overall account(s) you oversee, across projects

• Overseeing research projects from start to finish, from the development of data collection and the data collection phase to the production of compelling research reports
• Managing research analysts assigned to different projects and clients

• Presenting research to clients and other non-technical audiences

• Carry out other special projects as required

In addition, as a senior member of the Insights team at DataSciences, you would be part of a team that trains collaborators, provides strategic advice on how to strengthen the department’s practices and brainstorms on how to improve and grow the team. 

Requirements:

• 3+ years of market research experience required

• Expert English writing skills

• Demonstrated experience conducting different types of research projects

• Demonstrated proficiency in designing research strategy

• Experience working with clients

• Experience presenting research to different types of audiences

• Good organization and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for working as a member of a team

• Adaptability: you don’t get flustered when new challenges are thrown your way
• Experience with quantitative methods/statistical methods

• Understanding of statistical principles, particularly with respect to survey design and interpretation

Assets:

• Management experience

• French language writing skills

• Knowledge of R programming language

• Experience related to politics or campaigning
