Account Director, Europe

Summary

Data Sciences has an opening for an Account Director, Europe to join our team. This exciting and unique career opportunity is for a seasoned strategic marketing and sales professional, who holds an expert understanding digital marketing fundamentals. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the successful candidate will serve in a leadership capacity and collaborate with teams to lead project execution, manage client relationships, develop program plans, and deliver excellent presentations on behalf of the company to the client.

Your passion for strategic planning coupled with your knowledge of performance marketing, will be viewed as evidence of the ability to execute strategies which propel our client’s business forward. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently in Europe and help us grow our business abroad.

Key Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:

  • Act as the lead client relationship manager and ensure smooth communication between client expectations and delivery of solutions 
  • Write various types of reports for clients and the public
  • Ensure programs are implemented in a timely, cost-effective and relevant way
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders involved in the mandates
  • Ensure regular communication with clients and relay information to internal team members involved in the mandates
  • Participate in new business development strategies, prospecting, the development of proposals and presentations for prospective clients
  • Strategy development, executing marketing plans, and portfolio management
  • Leading cross-functional internal/external teams
  • Partnering with Team Leads and/or Project Managers to ensure flawless execution of client campaigns
  • Building strong relationships with clients and serve as the day-to-day client contact and account team manager on multiple client accounts
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive programs and tactics, along with supporting materials
  • Write various types of reports for clients and the public
  • Ensure programs are implemented in a timely, cost-effective and relevant way
  • Staffing projects effectively and managing client expectations
  • Managing budgets, billing and client reporting
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members by effectively delegating work and providing frequent and constructive feedback
  • Support the organization’s efforts to grow its European clients/partnership and its various services through networking activities
  • Supporting RFP submissions and new client pitch processes and teams through research, brainstorming, industry and competitive analysis and stakeholder assessments

 

Candidate Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • 8-10+ years of progressive marketing and/or agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or Graduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business
  • Knowledge of digital strategies, analytics, research and tools available to facilitate performance management
  • Strong Acute business acumen to comprehend business drivers, challenges and potential obstacles
  • Intuitive business awareness to recognize & assess competitive activity then recommend effective countermeasures
  • Proven ability to build strong relationship with clients and maintain effective relationships with all departments within the agency
  • Ability to primarily communicate in English amongst our Canada-wide and international clients and employees. Knowledge of french is an asset.
  • Superior writing/editing skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex content and write for a public audience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Strong project and budget management skills, ability to meet deadlines, delegate, and prioritize deliverables
  • Skilled in project management, working with teams, and client service
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once with strong leadership and presentation skills.
  • Solutions-oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong team player with an open-mind and committed to excellence.
  • Committed to management and growth of subordinates.
